Climate & Environmental Advocacy
Wildlife and Environmental Advocacy
In collaboration with the National Wildlife Federation, I helped amplify Spanish-language initiatives through La Red Hispana’s web and social media platforms. Our efforts focused on informing communities about wildlife conservation, environmental protection, key actions in Congress, and how individuals can get involved.
- Day of the Dead and the conservation work of the monarch butterfly
- What to do with dried autumn leaves and how to use them to help wildlife year-round?
- This fall, leave the leaves!
- Bipartisan bill will help reverse the wildlife crisis and restore endangered landscapes
- The Clean Water Act is 52 years old and today more than ever it is urgent to defend it
- New website will help protect sea turtles in Florida
Climate Action Education
Partnering with Climate Power, a strategic communications organization focused on advancing climate action through political change, I led the collaboration with La Red Hispana to produce, review, edit, and share Spanish-language content across web, social media, and radio. The content highlighted how climate change disproportionately impacts vulnerable communities and explored how policy changes can shape a more sustainable future.

- Environmental justice in Maricopa: CHISPA Arizona’s work
- Moving toward cleaner energy - Dr. Frances Colon
- Climate risks facing Latino communities
- Climate disasters and racial inequality
- How can Climate Action Day inspire you to take action against climate change?
- Extreme heat increases energy costs and strains the economy of Latino families
Climate Knowledge and Preparedness
Working alongside Yale Climate Connections, a news service dedicated to expanding public understanding of climate change, and through La Red Hispana’s media network, we translated, reviewed, and published Spanish-language web content. Topics ranged from reducing carbon footprints to responding to environmental disasters and improving preparedness.
- Adriana Carillo's vocation is to find lost migrants in the desert
- What can we expect for the rest of the hurricane season
- How can we all contribute, both individually and as a society, to reverse climate change?
- What will coastal cities in South Florida look like in the future?

- The challenge of mental health in climate migrants
- How to protect your child from smoke after a wildfire?
Environmental Education
I led the scripting, creation, editing, and posting of Spanish-language content for La Red Hispana’s social media, web, and radio platforms. This content focused on topics such as environmental preservation, recycling, green lifestyles, and environmental consciousness. The goal was to educate the Hispanic community on these important issues and inspire action toward a cleaner, more sustainable future.

FIMA – International Environment Fair
While working at Corferias, I developed and implemented a comprehensive media strategy to promote Latin America’s leading environmental fair, FIMA. The campaign included targeted ads in print and broadcast media, social media outreach, digital placements, and the production of informative brochures, banners, and on-site signage. These efforts boosted awareness and participation among both public and private environmental stakeholders.
